Due to factors beyond our control, we have to postpone JoomlaDay South Africa - Port Elizabeth to a later date. Those who have purchased tickets for that event have already been notified and refunded. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Meetup in PE
The good news however, is that we are starting a Joomla User Group (JUG) in the Kouga Region, and that for our very first JUG meeting we will have Ryan Ozimek right here in Port Elizabeth (PE).
Ryan Ozimek is a member of the board of directors of Open Source Matters, the non-profit organization which supports the Joomla! project, and served as its President from 2010-2012. Ryan is also the CEO and co-founder of PICnet, the company behind Soapbox Engage, an online engagement service that enables organizations to do online fundraising, event registrations, advocacy, and other engagement services. Though Ryan is a resident of Washington DC, he's a California native always hungry for his next burrito.
You are invited to join us for a fun filled and informative evening with fellow Joomla developers, hackers and enthusiasts.
This first Joomla User Group meeting in PE will take place on Saturday 7 March 16:30 for 17:00 at the Kelway Hotel, in the Boardroom for a formal discussion from Ryan Ozimek about the recent Joomla 3.4 release, and feedback on what's happening in the Joomla leadership as well as ways to get involved in the community.
Thereafter we will be going out for supper around 18:30 at La Kouzina Restaurant walking distance from the Hotel.
