Paul, who has been operating under the Kalemanzi GFX label since 2003 has an extensive experience and knowledge of many parts of the web, audio, visual and IT fields. Paul´s programming roots date to 1987 when he wrote MS-DOS batch programs and was introduced to GW Basic and Turbo Pascal. As soon as the internet became available in South Africa, he started developing websites with tools like Frontpage. In 2005, he progressed from static websites to dynamic websites, in the form of the Mambo CMS, which later spawned Joomla that turned out to be his CMS of choice to this day.

He is currently the developer of one of the top websites in South Africa (It runs on Joomla) and also does custom development work and CMS websites for clients in php, mysql and javascript. He lives with his wife and two sons in Jeffreys Bay, where he enjoys activities like wedding and sports photography, surfing, walking on the beach, spear fishing and scuba diving.

Developer with a focus on Joomla! extensions (Discussions & Marketplace), Ruby on Rails and Mobile Devices. His big passion are all kind of technical gadgets especially smartphones & tablets. Attendant and speaker at local and international events.

I specialize in design, implementation and custom Joomla! templates mostly on a business to business level working internationally with companies such as raramuridesign and Piezoworks whilst also maintaining my own development company got2cy.

The last 3 years I found myself in the position of co-organiser of the Joomla! Day in Cape Town.

Stephen has been working with content management since the late 1990's, originally as a solution for large corporate Intranets. He started a business that delivered and managed more than 40 websites using Joomla! for enteprenuers and small business over a five year period.

Having a business degree in Information Systems he is interested in website solutions that have a low cost of ownership and are easy to maintain.

Andrew J. Holden, Co-Founder & Chief Experience Officer at Weever Apps, is an HTML5 & Web App Specialist and JUG organizer.

"Offline" I enjoy Travelling, Hiking & camping, Rock climbing and Off-the-beaten-track Travel to remote parts of South Africa (no-internet!!). All of this is off-set by the hard work we do Online in Web Strategy Development & Design from our offices, located in Cape Town, South Africa.

I have been involved in the Online Industry for over 14 years. Obtained a diploma in Marketing and Advertising, before going into the Online Industry. My main passion lies in Solution Development for clients using popular open source systems, and seeing our clients businesses grow to success, as a result of the Websites which we develop.

I am also a co-organiser of the JoomlaDay Events in South Africa, over the last 3 years we have organised 10 events around the country.

Retha is passionate about helping small business owners make sense of the minefield of social media and online marketing. She facilitates workshops for teams or groups to explain the steps to a successful social media campaign, and how to implement this on the various platforms.

She specialises in LinkedIn and Twitter. Her background is in web development, usability, corporate website redevelopment projects, processes, project management, etc. She also worked extensively with Joomla from V1.0 to today.

Declan has been working for three years with Google. He began his career in the European Headquarters as an account manager for the travel industry, working with OTA's and Tour Operators.

He moved to SA in 2011 and is now an acount manager for the "tech and Retail" industry, managing major clients like Vodacom, Samsung and Woolworths.

Jacques Rentzke is the owner of New Web Consulting, which focuses on building and supporting web sites on the Joomla! CMS. He first got involved with Joomla! at the start of 2007 when a client required a Content Management System for their new web site. After some research, he decided on Joomla! and he's never looked back!

In 2010, Jacques was invited to join the board of directors of Open Source Matters (the organization that provides the legal and financial support for the international Joomla project), where he served as Secretary and Vice President, and is currently the lead of the Trademark Team.

Jacques is also co-organizer of the Joomla! User Group Cape Town (JUGCT) and the JoomlaDay Cape Town 2011, 2012 and 2013 events.

Kyle Ledbetter is a principle usability engineer for eBay, Inc. Kyle also owns Pixel Praise, which is the company behind Projectfork, AdminPraise and TapTheme. Kyle is currently leading the JUX (Joomla eXperience Project) which first redesigned Joomla.org, and is now focusing on the UX of Joomla 3.0.

Although Peter has a background in marketing & communication, he discovered programming in PHP/MySQL in 2003 and Mambo CMS a year later. Since 2005 he has been active in the Joomla community: at first as regular forum user, and later as Global Moderator at Joomla forum and member of the Community Leadership Team (CLT).

Peter loves the freedom and possibilities that open source software gives you as user. And the knowledge sharing that you can only find within such open source communities.

Peter has his own business www.db8.nl (founded in 2005) and supports companies and organizations with Joomla implementations, support and custom Joomla extension development. His other interests are open source software, Linux (Arch Linux & Debian), plug computers & the Raspberry Pi, music (collecting vinyl records) and art house movies. Peter Martin lives with wife & two kids in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

Robert Gerald Porter, Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer at Weever Apps, is a PHP expert who has been working on Joomla web development projects since 1997.
